Tau Empire : XV104 RIPTIDE

I couldn't resist! I can't hide that I am a Mecha Anime Fun and as such, the XV 104 Riptide was a dream come true. Bristling with anti-heavy infantry weapons and high survivability against almost any threat, the new XV104 is really what I was looking for to upgrade my Tau army. Best of all, the model is made from high quality plastic! Thank the greater good for that! It was a pleasure to both paint and build! Keep the plastic models coming GW and my money is yours!

TAU EMPIRE : XV 8-05 Crisis Enforcer

I took a short break from the hobby as some of you noticed, but now I am back with a new model fresh from the PaintStation. It's the new XV8 Crisis the commander's edition, a really nice model with a single huge problem - It's a resin ''Failcast'' model. 

Please, in the name of you hard earned money I absolutely advise against the Finecast [failcast really] models. Dear Games Workshop, please improve the Finecast [failcast] line of products otherwise terminate it. Simple as that!

Tau Empire : XV84 Suit

What can I say? It's a month already and my Tau order is still somewhere out there, so I decided to paint a XV 84 I had bought some months ago! I don't know why but I really didn't enjoy it! Oh well, what can I do? I just have to wait for my order to arrive!

Tau Empire : The second Devilfish

With the Tournament in just two weeks away I finished the second Devilfish. I bought it from a friend and it was in a really bad condition. It took me the best part of the day just to tear it apart, clean up all the glue, file and correct all the imperfections and then to glue it back again. Painting it was difficult too, so I used more black colour to cover up all the flaws. Nevertheless, the model is now ready for battle.

Tau Empire : Devilfish

I just finished the first Devilfish for my Tau army. This model used to fill up my ''failed project'' box but now it can take a place in my collection and more important in my roster. Now I only need one more Devilfish (is already WiP) 4 pathfinders and some shield drones.

Tau Empire : The Second Fire Warrior Squad

I decided that in the upcoming tournament I will participate with my Tau. I am a few unpainted models short, so all my efforts go to completing my army list. So, here is another squad of Fire warriors, rising my total number of 24 and now I am only 5 models short. Also I will need 2 devilfish APCs and 4 Pathfinders. Lucky for me still have a month till the Tournament.

TAU EMPIRE : XV88 BROADSIDE

With the Genocide Chronicles Tournament just around the corner I have to speed up the Tau project so to be ready for it. 1750p with ETC rules and I am just few models short.
My XVs crisis and broadsides are ready and my hammerhead too. I am 17 fire warriors and two devilfish short but thankfully, I have the models assembled and undercoated allready, so I will have to be quicker than usual to finish the army.

Tau Empire : XV8 Crisis Suit

I really hope that 2013 will bring a Tau codex. I just love the idea of full XV Crisis and Broaside battlesuit sweeping the battlefield with heavy fire, eliminating any resistance. Until then of course, I will play with my current roster consisting no less than 10 XVs. So, I painted one more just to be ready for the new codex. Also in line are a Devilfish APC and no less than 30 fire warriors. Wow a lot of work don't you all agree?

TAU EMPIRE : XV8 Crisis Suit

A recent game against Tau led me to paint one more XV8 Crisis for my Tau Force. As always the model is fully magnetized in addition to the highly dynamic pose. I hope you like it!
Also, I began the painting of a pure death company army list. I plan to try some glow effects on this new project so I also present some results.So my hands are full again.Take care every one!

Tau Empire : Pathfinders Support Teams

Τhree more Tau Pathfinders are succesfully painted, nothing changed very much but the glow I added to the markerlights.To be truthfull I can only guess if this particular part of the gun is the Markerlight. I still have a Salamander Sternguard Veteran, a Dark Angel AoBR Commander and a Word Bearer Terminator on the paintstation in various completion stages so off to work!!!

TAU EMPIRE : PATHFINDERS

The Tau pathfinders was, is and will be one of my favourite units from the Tau codex. A force multiplier or the multi tool of a any Tau strikeforce. So I invested some time to paint those salvaged models and also to make them stand out from the other Fire Warrior Teams I painted them in this urban camouflage. I hope you like them!

Tau Empire : Magnetised XV8 Crisis Suit

I had some free time this week so I painted some more those days.The result is one more magnetised XV8 crisis suit for my Tau army. Also this week, I painted some pathfinders and I will play some more 40K battles hoping to like the new game.

A REQUIEM FOR A CRISIS

Again back to the Tau with an XV 8 Crisis. I decided to reposition the arms and legs of the XV Crisis suit, also I converted a new head with some spare components. I hope you like it, I certainly do!

Τau Commander (Shas'o R'Myr)

The Purifiers had to wait a little bit as I wanted to paint an HQ for my Tau project! So here it is .A forge world model of Shas'o R'Myr will serve well as my Tau commander. I have to admit that I started a new project but the first squad is still in progress so I will keep this project as a surprise for a while! Take care everyone!

A Tau Hammerhead made in Sa'cea

This Tau Hammerhead is the first vehicle for my Tau Sa'cea project. It will be my second heavy support choice for the army list I plan to paint. I really wish that the new edition codex will make the hammerheads and the rest of the Tau Vehicles ''fast'' so to be able to redeploy my army as needed. Even if this upgrade will be expensive point-wise I really want to see a some quick reaction Hammerheads!

TAU FIRE WARRIORS the third and last part.

It was time for me to finish the Fire Warrior I had on the paintstation. After 12 models sure I feel more confident painting fire warriors, but I still need time to achieve the clean standards I have in mind for those models.

Now I have to move back to my Grey Knights and Salamanders project as I am only two models away to finish the terminator squads I have in mind for both armies. Also, I have to put some more paint to an XV25 Stealth Squad and also to finish the Land Raider Redeemer I have for the Salamanders again. So, stay tuned I still got some paint to deliver!

Now that I mentioned it! Anyone with a juicy Salamanders 1750 list for me? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

TAU FIRE WARRIORS part 2

It's all about Fire warriors this time. Four more for the Army four less unpainted. Hmmm... I 


still need a lot of practice to feel comfortable with the Tau models even when they are so 


similar to the Space Marine models. Well no big deal I'll improve with time.

TAU FIRE WARRIORS

Tau Fire Warriors from the world of Sa'cea this time. As I wrote a couple of posts ago I bought a Fire Warrior squad at a very good price. Three of those models were already painted and I decided to repaint those models first. I am satisfied but I am still not so comfortable painting Tau. I mean that I can still impove my skills on them. I just hope that improvrment will come with time. Please do note the grass on the bases, it's a new addition I think I will adapt.

Dark Elves Crossbowmen and some WiP.

I painted those models only to escape from the 2+ armour save models of my paintstation. No I am not looking for an army.These models belong to a friend of mine who quit the hobby and I said ''Why not give it a go''. At the same time I paint some Tau Fire Warriors. I bought them used from Andreas for only 12 euro. They were glued and based and basecoated black bar three that Andreas painted like test models. I started with those test models and I can't say I am not satisfied.

Here the models of the Dark Elves in what I call tabletop standard. I hope you like them.
