ANGELS SANGUINE : LORD EXECUTIONER

That was a pleasant surpise! I wasn't able to resist and bought the Executioner Lord! The model is absolutely fantastic.Well believe it or not I found a FineCast model without ANY blemish! Good Job Games Workshop, keep it up!
The model itself has a mohawk head. It reminds me a U.S. Marine and I found it really hard to replace it. You see the Angels Sanguine Fluff clearly states that a really small number of astartes are allowed to show their faces to non Angels Sanguine personel. My collection has already two bearheaded marines and I think that is enough for now.
So I replaced the head with a hooded one! The model now looks really menacing! I really like it better!!!

ANGELS SANGUINE : THE SECOND VINDICATOR

My PaintStation is full of Tyranids and Angels Sanguine models. I want to paint at least an Apocalypse Formation for my Angels Sanguine! I wanted the LineBreaker formation! Sadly, the new rulebook doesn't have one. In any case, I see absolutely no reason to not finish the project so I painted a second one. In the light of the new release of Space Marine Captains I wasn't able to resist the urge to buy the Executioner Lord. Also on my PaintStation, my Tyranids are about to recieve a second Tervigon. The model is huge and I still have a lot of work to do on it!

Angels Sanguine:Vindicator

Back to the Angels Sanguine again. This time with a Vindicator. It was a boring project this one, untill a friend suggested to me to build three of them...Yes you read right, three!!!

Now imagine the scene, three Fast Moving Vindies and right behind them 30 Death Company Astartes equiped with Jump packs attacking the enemy lines... Trully, the stuff of legend!!! I hope I can fit it on a 1850p roster!

Effectiveness...who exactly cares!!! Not me to be honnest. I just want to see the terrified eyes in my opponent's face thinking [GULP] Now I am really done for... :)

Angels Sanguine :Death Company

waiting the Dark Angels Codex I painted those 3 Death Company Assault Marines. Recent play-testing proved that the Storm Ravens can’t always deliver their deadly cargo into the enemy lines. I played with two storm ravens with 8 Death Company Astartes in each of them and also, a third Death Company Squad led by Astorath The Grim. Unfortunately, a lucky shot blew my flyer off the table and with it 2/5 of my roster. On the other hand, the death company squad led by Astorath brought untold carnage, so I changed my roster to 3 Death Company Squads Astorath, Lemartes and one more Chaplain, all of them with Jump packs. Hehe I can’t spell Slaughter without laughter.

Angels Sanguine : Death Company 9/12

The Pure Death company project is flying. I really find it difficult to paint the terminators for the Bolter and chainsword.com vow but I'll manage.
These models are the old metal Death Company models I salvaged from my previous Blood Angels army. I only added few plastic parts from the new plastic kit and are ready to war

Angels Sanguine : Death Company 6/15

I simple love painting death company. Simply the sight of a full death company is enough to drive me forward to finish this latest update to my Angels Sanguine army before December.
Also on my paintstation the Deathwing Squad from Dark Vengeance are WiP. Lot of work.

ANGELS SANGUINE : DEATH COMPANY

Ι will participate in the ICT V the biggest 40K tournament in Greece. I planned to participate in the ICT IV but I didn't have a competitive roster.
So I decided to rely again on my Angels Sanguine army once more, but this time with a whole different roster.
Last time I was fielding 3 Land Raiders, assault squads and terminators, I even fielded a Scout Sniper Squad.
This time I am going for a pure death company roster. I am only 15 astartes short and a Storm Raven. Luckilly I will salvage some models from the failed projects box and I already own a spare raven for the job.So I took up a brush and here the first 3 astartes. Hope you like them!

Angels Sanguine : Assault Marines

Winter is Coming and the Angels Sanguine are returning. I will participate in the ICT5 (Indipedent Club Tournament 5) next year so I need to build and paint an effective and not overly abused army list. So I painted 3 more assault marines to get in the mood. I hope you like them!

DEATH COMPANY : DARKER THAN BLACK

Ιn the heat of the new projects I totally forgot the old ones. I painted two more Death Company marines for my Angels Sanguine army. That was a nice respite from the Imperial Guard but now I have to go back - the Commisar is looking my way!

Death Company Astartes and a Scout!

A Death company astartes this time. A forsaken model in the hell maze of my Failled Projects Box found a new home inside the Angels Sanguine carry case. The original model was armed with a Lightning claw and a bolt pistol. I used the claw ages ago for a Shrike Veteran back in the 4th edition so I swapped it with a humble chainsword. I also chopped away the bolt pistol for an Inferno pistol. I hope you like it.
Something for my Salamanders too. A scout armed with a missile launcher so Sgt Tellion can whisper to someone with his BS6.

Αstartes and mortals

Those last 10 days was fun. Working overtime and under extreme weather conditions is always intresting but I have seen worse, way worse. Well, not all 10 days was all work. I also picked up my first battles with the Imperial guard. Stelios was kind enough to lend me his Imps and I enjoyed it greatly. With 20 or so guardsmen taken from a friend I couldn't resist but paint a test model! Other than that I painted one more Assault Marine for my third Assault Squad. See you everyone!

Angels Sanguine Assault Marines

The Tournament is over and in the aftermath of it I found out that my motivation for painting more Angels Sanguine is soaring. I was thinking of storing the army and starting a new project, the Astral Claws, but now I have an Attack bike squad, armed with multi melta no less, in mind and thankfully for my wallet I really got 4 or 5 models to salvage from the Failed Project Box. But one squad at a time, first I want to finish the Assault Squad or a combat squad at least!

Angels Sanguine goes to War!

The first think that came to my mind when I entered the luxurious hotel that the ICT (Independent Club Tournament) was held was:
''That’s too good for us!''
Having a backpack and a Feldherr case full with miniatures, tanks ,rulebooks, FAQs, templates, dice and the like, descended down a level to the ''conference hall.
26 tables were waiting there ready to accommodate the blood-hungry orks... er I meant players.

It was great to meet old friends and rivals, to shake hands with them and wish ''happy new year''. It was really a great atmosphere. It was the calm before the storm.

1st game. VS Tyranids! ''The awakening of the tactician''
My list was :
Librarian (Unlease Rage , Shield of Sanguinius)
2XSang.Priests with power swords
Terminator Assault Squad with 2 thunder hammers and Land raider Redeemer with Extra Armour and Multi Melta
Assault Squad (5) Razorback with Las Cannons
Assault Squad (7) Melta gun , Power fist , Land Raider with extra armour
Assault Squad (7) Melta gun , Power fist , Land Raider with extra armour
Scout Squad (6) Sniper Rifles

Mano's List:
A happy Harpy with twin venom cannons. (I would steal his awesome conversion of the model ANY TIME)
3 Tervigons (again a lovely conversion)
2 Tyranofexes!(Guess what? He really did an awesome conversion here too!)
9 Hive guards (I think he wants to shoot me)
few critters to make the Tervigons ''troops''

Game Tag:
Oponnent: Manos with Tyranids
Mission: Spearhead , Capture and Control

Was the game fun?: absolutely
Play with this opponent again? Absolutely!
His luck? Great at the start, average later.
My luck? Average!
Any rule issue? none at all.

After the handshaking we rolled to see who will play first. Unsurprisingly enough he won. At that time I told myself ''I have to fight to take a draw''. He deployed with his Hive Guards around the no man’s land (this 12'' radius cycle at the center), the Tyranofexes few inches behind them and the Tervigones just around the T-T-fexs. His objective was way back at the corner of his Table Quarter. That was an extremely aggressive deployment but with a flaw! Nothing was on his objective and most of his critters were 12''or more away.
(Manos deployed his objective behind that buinling unguarded when the rest of his forces prepare to shoot to oblivion)

(A well painted and converted army is alway a sight to behold.Manos did a great work indeed)
I deployed with a counter charge tactic in mind. My three Land Raiders were almost sponsor to sponsor to each other with the librarian securely placed in the middle one, the Razorback and Scout Squad in reserve.
He opened fire and all hell broke loose! The Harpy destroyed the Land Raider with the Assault Squad inside and the T-fexes manage to immobilize the Land raider with the librarian. Thankfully, the Shield of Sanguinius saved me from a penetrating hit but the results are the same I am almost crippled.
I charged the Redeemer 12'' forward its assault cannon in range with the Harpy the Las Cannons of the Crippled War Angel opened fire leaving only a wound to the Happy Harpy but the beast was still very much alive and now it was his turn.
He shot me again breaking a precious Las Cannon sponsor. He stunned both Land Raiders but that was all! When his shooting phase was over no Land Raider was a burning wreck! I was so happy I could hardly control myself to not scream!
Now it was my turn and the Scouts were coming from the wrong table edge. Oh well, I could always shoot him from the safety of the Sang.Priest's bouble! The Razorback Black Death charged onward 18'' and popped smoke just behind all the enemy battle line.
(Speeding to the objective the Razorback ''Black Death'' goes for the objective)
(the last ack of this monstrous Tervigon was to give birth to 18!!! termagants before the Terminators plant a Thunder Hammer to its head!)
)
Once again the Land Raider redeemer moved 12'' and there the Terminator Sergeant Axion took the fight to the xeno scum itself! Charging the 2 Tervigons blocking the way to the T-fexes. The ''War Angel'' engaged the Harpy with the remaining Las Cannon killing it. In close combat the Tervigones suffered 7 wounds but both of them still stood claiming the lives of two veterans but that was all I was still in combat with 9 Hive guards awaiting to shoot me.
The T-fexes understood that remaining close to close combat were risking assault so they both moved away, now if they wanted to shoot me they had to do so giving both my Land Raiders a 4+ cover save. A brood of 18 termagants moved to Intercept the Razor back. And a T-fex opened fire against it penetrating it once. Thankfully, the smoke launchers saved my vehicle. The Hive guards were far to shoot it so the ''Black Death'' was free to move again.
The close combat was finished with my Terminators victorious and both critters slain. The Emperor smiled at me once again and I could consolidate 6''. That was in range for assaulting the T-fex who threatened both Land Raiders or assaulting the Hive Guards who threatened me less, or I could mount again on the Redeemer and assault next turn. Axion pointed his thunder hammer at the T-fex ''Suffer the xeno no more'' and he was charging
(with a final prayer to the Emperor Terminator Squad Axion charge the Tyranofex who threatens my precious Land Raiders)

. Before that the Land raider reigned supreme to the guideless termagants tank shocking all off the table leaving the Razorback to conquer the objective harmless. In close combat the might of Terminator squad ''Axion'' left the Tfex with one wound.
It was turn four. My Opponent saw the threat that the Razoback , Land Raider and Terminators suggested and took drastic measures. The Second T-fex pointed its massive cannon to the RazorBack but both shots wildly missed. I could breathe once again. His Hive Guards that stayed for so long away from combat were out of range to hurt the razorback. Worse yet the Axion Squad dispatched the t-fex losing a squad member , consolidating even nearer to his objective.

With his fire power to demolish my precious Land Raiders diminished and a Razorback sitting on his objective every critter left the offensive to defend its home. He wisely shot to death my Terminator Squad with his hive guard and tried to kill my Razorback but the irony is that he hid his objective so well that it granted me a 4+ cover. The Razorback and Land Raider held his objective and won me the game.

The Squad of the match went to : Terminator Squad ''Axion'' for slaying 2 Tervigons and a Tyranofex breaking his fire line in half wining me the game!

Notes: His list was very good and with his initial shooting a more expierienced player could do better. Never the less, he was an opponent with good manners and I will gladly play with him again any time. I am only hoping players like him to become the backbone of the Greek Warhammer 40.000 Community. Lastly I gave him the favoured player vote for his good character. Thank you kind sir!

Of Knights and Angels

As the Grey Knight Project expanded to a Twin Auto Cannon Dreadnought I guess it will not hurt to paint a strike squad. Having about 15 oop power armoured knights I am sure I can paint/salvage a strike squad at 0 price and save 10 models from the Failed Projects Box.
In the same time and with no reason at all I have started to paint a 3rd Assault Squad for my Angels Sanguine. Having so many Assault Marines never hurt anyone.
Tomorrow I will attend to the biggest 40K tournament ever held in Greece. A 52 players event called Indipendent Club Tournament organised by the Battle Bunker Club (this is the gaming club I belong for almost 6 years) and Espairos (another club for RPGs and tabletop games in general). Judging from yesterday's battles I have no chance in hell to be competitive so I will try for some friendly easygoing battles to awake the tactical monster I hide deep down!

Angels Sanguine Reinforcements

With less than a week until the I.C.Tournament I have to make haste finishing my army list to compete.Thankfully the basing is nearly complete and the extra assault marine and sanguinary priest are both ready too. Now I only need to remodel the Land Raider ''Rellentless Fury'' from a Redeemer class to phobos and paint one more sniper scout.Well, I think I ll make it in time!

Angels Sanguine Vanguard Veteran Squad

Α special momment for everyone in the wargaming world is when you finally manage to paint the unit you wanted and you sit back to enjoy the result.
A momment like that is today. The Vanguard Veteran Squad is ready. With models from the Mk1 Veteran range and Vanguard Veteran range I think I did a great job.
Also I prepare my Angels Sanguine for war. Less than a month away is the Indipendent Club Tournament I plan to attend. By that I mean I will have to correct mistakes and build some bases. So, here's the finished scout sniper squad I finished!

it was totally worth it!

Angels Sanguine Devastator Squad.

With the Grey Knight project in full speed it's no wonder that the Angels Sanguine and Ogre Kingdoms Projects are staying behind.
Well, to be honnest the Angels are in the slow speed when the Ogres are at a temporary stop. I don't know,
maybe I lost motivation and faith to the Hellenic (Greek if you prefer) Warhammer Fantasy community (better say group.) after
the recent events.

Thankfully the Cretan group in Crete is running a small and friendly campaign so my motivation for the WH40K
is really kicking in those last weeks. So, I thought to slowly but surely fininsh the Squads I left incomplete.
Today I finished the Devastator Squad I had in mind. I hope you like it.

Angels Sanguine Vanguard Veteran #3

The latest addition to the Angels Vanguard Squad is this collector model. Well, the only issue this model has is that it is helmetless. According to the chapter fluff all the Angels Sanguine Astartes don't show their faces to outsiders, but I guess I can do some exceptions don’t you think?
